Cheats, Glitches and Secrets

Here are all of the Club Penguin Cheats, Glitches and Secrets in retro-style! :D
If there’s any I’ve missed, please contact me so I can add to this page. I tried to get most things on here but I’m a human/penguin just like everybody else! ;)

Cheats:

Note: The following are mini-game cheats, not tips.

‘My Puffle’ book:
There are secret hidden coins in these books. Finish typing in the words for each of the pages to unlock the ability to receive them.
1st page: Click on the handle of the door and push it back to reveal your coin. Click on it to get it.
2nd page: (Choose ‘Dock’) Click on the handle of the pump and click on the coin whilst the penguin is in the air.
3rd page: Chuck the Hydro-Hopper into the air and get the coin as it jumps up.
4th page: Drag the sky right down and quickly catch the coin.
5th page: Again, drag the sky right down and quickly catch the coin.

‘Burnt Out Bulbs’ book:
There are secret hidden coins in these books. Finish typing in the words for each of the pages to unlock the ability to receive them.
1st page: Try to find the puck. You can just see it. Push it off to the left with your mouse then push it back on. The coin will come with it. Click on it to get it.
2nd page: Move your mouse to the top left-hand corner and a coin will appear. Get it by clicking on it.
3rd page: Lift up the piano top to find the coin with all the piano strings.
4th page: (Choose ‘DJ’) Click on the cuckoo clock and Fred will come out with the coin.
5th page: Gradually drag each bit of the floor away until you get to the coin.
6th page: Change each square of the dance floor until they are the same pattern and colour as the puffle poster on the wall. The poster will open, revealing the coin.
7th page: Lift up the middle circle and catch the coin underneath.

‘Lime Green Dojo Clean’ book:
There are secret hidden coins in these books. Finish typing in the words for each of the pages to unlock the ability to receive them.
1st page: Grab the handle of the mop and fling it over the wall. Then clean away the view until you see the coin.
2nd page: Click on the big pot of paint and chuck it up in the air and get the coin.
3rd page: Click on the spot of paint on the top left-hand side and drag it about the picture until the paint wears away and the coin is revealed.
4th page: Push the penguin with the mouse towards the far-away wall. It will turn around and the penguin will float to the ceiling. Push him towards the wall again, and a hole in the ceiling will appear with the coin falling through it.
5th page: Push the scowling penguin to the right and click on the panels and door in the order it shows you. The door will open and you can get the coin.
6th page: Drag the paint can over to the right again and collect the coin.
7th page: Click on the light bulb and drag it through the maze, then get your coin.
8th page: Pull the octopus out and it will get you the coin.

Yellow puffle in DJ3K:
Your yellow puffle can help you in DJ3K by earning you extra points! Just go into the game walking your yellow puffle and it will mix with you!

How to get expert mode in single-player mode on Dance Contest:
When you are asked which difficultly you would like, click on Cadence’s head to play expert mode. Beware! It’s hard!

Purple puffle in Dance Contest:
Your purple puffle can help you in Dance Contest by earning you extra points! Just go into the game walking your purple puffle and it will dance with you!

How to get extra money on Thin Ice:
When on level 19, look at the big blue patch on the right of the screen. Third square down from the very top, on the left edge, you can go on. Navigate down to the circle square to get extra money.

How to skip levels in Astro Barrier:
When on the starting screen, press 1, 2, or 3 on your keyboard. Press 1 to take you straight to level 10, 2 for 20 and 3 for 30.

How to get to secret levels on Astro Barrier:
Between levels 10 and 11, 20 and 21, and 30 and 31, wait 30 seconds until a blue ship appears. Hit it, and you will be taken to secret levels.

How to get 1000 free coins in Jet-Pack Adventure:
Go through all of the levels in Jet-Pack Adventure without collecting a single coin and you will be awarded 1000 coins for your nifty flying.

How to go faster in Sledding:
Sled over ice patches to get a speed boost in Sledding.

How to catch the mullet in Ice Fishing:
When you see the mullet in the background, quickly get a yellow fish on your line but do not take it out of the water. When the mullet comes, the fish acts like bait and it will be caught.

How make dessert pizzas in Pizzatron 3000:
When on the starting screen, click on the big red lever to switch from normal pizzas to dessert pizzas! You get more coins for it too!

How to go faster in Cart Surfer [unconfirmed]:
Apparently, if you go into Cart Surfer wearing lime green, you go faster. This is currently unconfirmed.

Red puffle in Catchin’ Waves:
Your red puffle can help you in Catchin’ Waves by earning you extra points! Just go into the game walking your red puffle and it will surf with you!

How to get extra coins OR the rare treasure in Soda Seas on Aqua Grabber:
First, ‘unlock’ the cave on the left-hand side of Soda Seas. Then quickly rush up to the cave’s ceiling to bash it and a worm will fall down. Pick it up with your grabber and find the fluffy fish swimming around the place. The worm will act as bait and you will have caught the fluffy fish. Now, go to the bottom right-hand cave, the one with the mullet in it. Get the mullet to eat the fish, and it will swim away. Go through the space it has been guarding and go down. There will be a pile of coins and a crab whom protects it. You now have a choice: you can grab the coins before the crab does or you can let the crab take the coins and it will give you the rare treasure.

Pink puffle in Aqua Grabber:
Your pink puffle can help you in Aqua Grabber by earning you extra points! Just go into the game walking your pink puffle and it will dive with you!

Glitches:

How to stand in doorways:
To stand in a doorway, click on it and quickly open up Penguin Mail. When you think you have finished walking, close the mail and you now are standing in the doorway. I find the Ice Rink is one of the best places to do this.

Secrets:

Coffee Shop menu board:
You can change it by clicking on it.

Secret items in books:
In the Book Room, and in the library, there are two hidden items in two different books. In the ‘Rockhopper and the Stowaway’ book, on the last page, there is a friendship bracelet which you can get by clicking on it. (This is available to non-members too) In ‘The Journal of Captain Rockhopper’, on the last page, there is a key which anyone can get which enables you to have access to the Captain’s Quarters on the Migrator. It can also be worn as a pin.

Instructions for multiplayer games:
If you’re playing Mancala or Treasure Hunt, and you don’t know how to play, see if you can find instructions on the wall that that room is in, and to read them, click on them.

Secret Rooms:
There are a few secret rooms in Club Penguin. The Iceberg: When on the map, click on the white shape near the cove to take you to the Iceberg. The Boiler Room: Access this place by the fake right-hand side speaker beside the Dance Contest table in the Night Club or the green door in the Cave. The Cave: Get here by going down the man-hole in the Plaza, going through the green door in the Boiler Room, or by the tunnel in the Mine. The Mine: You can visit here by going through the tunnel from the Cave, or by going into the Mine Shack. Ninja Hideout: You need to be a ninja (beaten the Sensei) to come into this room. The room can be accessed by going to the Dojo Courtyard and walking through the stone door in that area beside the Dojo. PSA HQ: You need to become a secret agent to visit here. Start off by clicking the ‘M’ at the top right-hand corner of your screen. The HQ can be accessed by either clicking ‘Visit HQ’ on your spyphone, or by going through the secret door in the Sports Shop. The door is the furthest-away changing room. EPF HQ: To come in here, you must have the EPF DS game and used the unlocking code to unlock this room. You can get there by entering through another secret door, this time it’s in the HQ. The cabinet on the right opens up to allow you to go through.

Astro Barrier secret:
When you are being shown a new element in Astro Barrier between levels, you can actually try it out and get extra coins before the level starts!

Gift Shop catalog:
The Clothing Catalog will come up if you walk into the changing rooms in the Gift Shop.

Certain items in games:
If you hold certain items whilst going into certain games, you sometimes can use that item to your advantage in the game. These items are available for sale in the room the game’s in. The surfboard for Catching Waves is at the Cove, the wakeboard for Hydro Hopper is at the Dock, the Flashing Lure Fishing Rod for Ice Fishing is in the Ski Lodge, the toboggan for Sled Racing is at the Ski Hill, and the records for DJ3K are in the Night Club. (the items are only for members)

Crow’s Nest on Rockhopper’s Ship:
When on the upper deck of the Migrator, click on the arrow on the mast to go to the Crow’s Nest.

How to fire the Snow Cannon in the Crow’s Nest:
Just click on the cannon for it to fire snowballs.

Rockhopper’s catalog:
Rockhopper’s catalog will come up if you walk into the retail area in the Ship’s Hold.

Rockhopper’s corkboard:
Click on Rockhopper’s corkboard in his Quarters to see some snapshots of him and his ‘To Do’ list.

Stair skipping:
You don’t have to climb all the stairs to get to the Beacon in the Lighthouse. Just click on the ‘TO TOP’ arrow sign.

How to turn of the light at the Beacon:
Just click on the big switch and it will turn to off.

The telescope:
Click on the big telescope at the Beacon to look through it. If you’re lucky, you might see Rockhopper coming or going.

Tour Booth:
When you’re in the Ski Village, click on the Tour Guide Booth. If you’re not already a Tour Guide, you can sign up to be one. but, if you already are, you can find a tour guide manual to help you with your work.

Sports Shop catalog:
The Snow and Sports Catalog will come up if you walk into the nearest two changing rooms in the Sports Shop.

Teleporting screens in HQ:
If you click on any of the TV screens in HQ, it will teleport you to that place it displays.

Secrets in the F.I.S.H. catalog:
On the ‘Super Spy Gear’ page, click on the sunglasses to get the Night-Vision Goggles. Also, on the page opposite, click on the different squares to change the special dances.

Access to the EPF Command Room via HQ:
If you’ve unlocked the EPF Command Room by buying the game, you can get there by rolling over the cupboard on the right in the PSA HQ which transforms into a doorway leading into it. Sweet!

EPF Command Room Secrets:
In the EPF room there are various things that change if you click on them. Here they are: Click on the big TV screen to change channels. When you are on the talking penguins channel, and wait long enough, some commentary will roll along the bottom. Also, click on the metal circle in the middle of the table and different things will come out of it each time. Finally, roll over the ‘Elite Force’ picture on the left and the penguin will change colour and outfit.

Moving Items:
If you roll over certain things around Club Penguin they will move about. If you roll over the tubes at the Dock and the Ski Village they will bounce up and down. If you roll over the bucket and spade several times at the Beach it will make a sand (or snow!) castle. The till and the telephone will both move around at the Gift Shop and the Sport Shop, but, in the Sport Shop the exercise ball will bounce too. The stack of CD’s in the EPF Command Room will flip if you roll over them. The candle in the Ski Lodge will go out as well. If you roll over the rocking horse in the Lodge Attic it will rock. In the Pet Shop if you roll over any of the puffles they will move and if you go over the tree or the big Puffle ‘O’ box puffles will move there too. Also the fish will jump out of the bowl as well. Usually millions of things will move and go around at The Stage, depending on what play is on. Use the Switchbox 3000 to activate some of these things. At the Pizza Parlour, the till and the big book will move too. And lastly, Sensei will appear on his cushion in the Dojo if you roll over it.

Cuckoo clock in the Ski Lodge:
Every half hour a yellow bird will come out of the cuckoo clock in the Ski Lodge.

Clock Tower:
At the Snow Forts you will be able to see the Clock Tower, invented by G, or Gary the Gadget Guy. It is snowball-powered, so if you throw snowballs at the target, it will wind up. It operates in PST (Penguin Standard Time). It says: ‘By G’ on the side of it in secret agent code. You can click on the board beside the clock to learn more.

Ice Rink/Football Pitch:
At the Ice Rink/Football Pitch you can play a game of ice hockey/football by yourself or with friends. Just walk and push the puck/football forward. If you get the puck/football into the net, it will automatically go back to the centre. This way you can conduct a game of ice hockey/football.

Ticket Booth:
You can actually walk into the Ticket Booth in the Plaza and pretend to sell tickets!

Balconies at The Stage:
Ever wondered how to get up onto the balconies at The Stage? Here’s how: Walk up until you are in line with the curtains. Then simply click on the balcony you want to sit at!

Old Newspapers:
If you’ve missed an edition of the Club Penguin Times, you can read old copies in the Boiler Room from 6 weeks back. Just go to the Boiler Room, and click the top drawer on the left-hand filing cabinet. Then choose which paper you wish to read!

Binoculars:
Click on the binoculars at the Cove to look through them. You will most likely see a penguin playing Hydro-Hopper in the distance.

Surfboard catalog secret:
In the Surfing catalog at the Cove, click on the ‘W’ in ‘Waves’ to find the elusive Silver Surfboard.

Card Jitsu card collection and belt stats:
If you’re in the Dojo Courtyard, Dojo or the Ninja Hideout, you can access your Card Jitsu card collection and your belt stats by clicking on the cards icon at the bottom-right of your screen. Alternatively, you can go to the ‘Awards’ section on your playercard and click on the same icon to access it as well.

Gongs in the Ninja Hideout:
You can ring the gongs in the Ninja Hideout by either clicking on them, or by throwing snowballs at them.

Martial Artworks catalog:
The Martial Artworks catalog will come up if you walk into the retail area in the Ninja Hideout.

The Box Dimension:
The Box Dimension was created during the April Fool’s Party ’09. Members could buy a Portal Box from a ‘Box Store’ and put it in their igloos. If they walked over it they would be transported to the Box Dimension. Non-members could get in if they went to an open member’s igloo and visit via their Portal Box. Since the Adventure Party, the Box Dimension was full of plants.

Newspaper Aunt Arctic secret:
If you go to Aunt Arctic’s regular feature in the newspaper, ‘Ask Aunt Arctic’, and you roll-over Aunt Arctic’s little picture, her glasses will turn to sunglasses.

Awards secrets:
When you earn a reward in CP, whether it’s a medal for completing a mission, or your Starter Card Jitsu deck, it will all go to your ‘Awards’ section in your inventory. If you click on one of these awards, it will show up in front of everything else. See what happens if you click or roll over it.

How to get all of the stats bars to full with your puffle:
First, bathe your puffle, then give it a bowl of puffle ‘o’s. This should get all of your puffle’s bars up to full.

How to make your puffle ‘independent’:
Buy some furniture from the puffle furniture catalog in the Pet Shop. Put it in your igloo, and your puffles will react to it. Depending on what you put out, different bars will go up or down.

How to dance with your puffle:
To dance with your puffle, just take it for a walk and start dancing!

Keyboard Secrets:
W = wave
T = target (snowball)
Y = Yes
O = Ok
S = sit (also up, down, left and right)
D = dance
H = Hello
J = joke
B = Good-Bye
N = No
! = !
? = ?
-/= = toggle quality
E+… = assorted/hidden emotes

Note: If you wear certain items all by themselves (some go together) and you dance/wave you can do a special action. i.e.,
Coffee Apron + dance = pour coffee
Chef’s Hat + Pizza Apron + dance = flip pizza

Extra fast waving/throwing snowballs:
To wave really fast, keep pressing ‘w’ on your keyboard. To throw snowballs really fast, press ‘t’ and click really fast.
